Insight to David's World
When we were in David's room on our trip to see him a week or so ago, he pulled out his gear and helped his Dad put it on. This is not quite everything but when David is fully dressed in his uniform and has all his gear on including his gun, he is carrying around an extra 120 pounds! Now that is one tough young man in my opinion!
Sometimes seeing this stuff makes me nervous about what he is soon getting ready to do but I would rather know what I do than to not know anything at all. I am sure there is a whole lot of things that I will never know and that is probably a good thing. I have several other pictures I could post but since I am in them, I think I will keep them under lock and key!! In the meantime, you can pray for his protection and my sanity!!

I can't imagine carrying an extra 120 lbs, that IS one tough guy!!
Let's see - I could probably walk, oh I don't know - MAYBE to the other side of the room carrying that!!?!? Yikes!
Shall we assume there are pictures of YOU wearing the gear? Now that I'd pay money to see! We'll be praying for him regularly, Leah.
We've been praying for him! I can't find your email anywhere, so hopefully it's okay to get personal on here! We're at this camp and it's the strangest thing! There is this man here and he looks SO much like you and some of his expressions are just like you too! Now, isn't that scary?! You don't know anybody by the name of Greg, do you?
Nicole, oh boy!!!! Yep - that is my brother - if his last name is Thacker anyway! Some times I claim him and sometimes I don't so tell me if he is being good and I will tell you if he is related to me or not!!
He's been good.....can't imagine that from a Thacker! Seriously, been doing a wonderful job preaching. Very interesting, practical, thought-provoking and long.......did I say that? No! Well, he is a little long, but it's so interesting you don't even think about it! The long part wouldn't come from being a Thacker, would it?! Probably not!
As a mother I can relate to your anxiety. God will be faithful to you and David while he is away.
